the contrails in the sky really add to this. excellent lighting by the way.
excellent shading (as usual) and well done adapting these characters to your style.
i think the trees look great in general as they are, but i'll note that just the foreground trees could indeed use some more shading.

it's certainly cleaner. textures for the character are interesting. the eyes really stand out even though you just added a white pupil. it really does adds a lot.
overall yeaah i like this addition to your style. i'm surprised you're not more popular, especially looking at the landscape/cityscape work you do.
Trying to make the textures very interesting, the eyes could be slightly better, but trying to be very fucking expressive in that department for something to avoid a blank face. The pupils ain't white at all, infact they are a light yellow. Trying to give him a very fucking expressive look and feel of " YES THIS GUY IS FUCKING SINISTER ". I come off that way at times.
The reason I am not popular is due to I am too damn niche or clearly not cut through main audiance tastes hints my moe morphism theming... Cute Anime girl cliches flood the Front Page, which makes me sad as. The anime girls I prefer are Sadistic turned into a B* for protagonists, Wolf / Cat / Fox / X Animal Girl here, and need more spice.
I find my artwork shows I am inspired by MANY ARTISTS.... Sauce six digit website artists inspired why I changed line work styles, love the coloring of MANY DIGITAL PAINTERS Like Tyler Eldin, Marco Bucci, and Richard Schmit, but I take on a more sinister " Only god forgives " palette. I lean very Dark Magenta, Deep Purples, Dark Reds, Dark Saturation. As my colors vibrate and no use of blacks at all, I may use creamy colors time to time, but mostly stuck in Dark Saturation Mode, Over Saturation accidentally on skins as I want to improve that heavily...
I am not a big fan of pastel colors to be fairly honest, I like what I would describe. Melted Oil Pastels or burnt crayons. Bright Yellows, paired with Yellow ochres, and interesting browns being overly fucking hot ( like this context ). I appreciate pastels, I am willing to use them, but how my soul is when I draw, I don't want to do that. >:X Sometimes like Double Complementary, Triadic, and Monochrome. Though I love experimenting with Neon and a very " God Only Forgives " style color. Where it is very fucking intense.... But Scary and uncaring, but aesthicly beautiful.

saw your post on "Voting on your own work" so here it is. i'm a fan of your 'blocky'-ish style. adding to that are your dull colors, and especially the non-exaggerated smoothness of the paint itself (the apple, sky, and various shades on the ground) if ya get me.
=x My colors I would say are FAR FROM dull, but I typically use a ton of saturated browns for shading, and complementary coloring to help have a sense of color harmony. I never saw my work as fairly blocky. ._. Though I would say fairly blocked in, the lack of smoothness is mostly a fact I avoid over blending. Including I typically when I do a digital painting, I mix my colors and limit my palette dramatically. The lack of smoothness is what I enjoy in my own work, as it has a very traditional feel, despite the digital work flow. While my illustrations with lines is where I do take advantage of digital tools.
siick. the landscape below is such a nice touch.
Worth the trouble
ballin... but at what cost?
excellent work.
never finished this anime, but i enjoyed it a lot. great character designs too.
if the year 2020 was a living thing i'd torture it.
